The Difference:
Collaboration
A great social media image is a collaboration between the client (you), the artist (me), and the photographer (me or another professional). I have collaborated with the local San Francisco photographer, Kelly Vorves, on many a great headshot as you can see from my portfolio, and she is a great choice. I can also work with other photographers of your choosing. Either way, a compelling “one-stop head-shot service” is the result!
It’s difficult to coordinate all the elements necessary for a great head shot on your own. After all, sourcing a makeup artist, hair stylist, photographer and venue that all work well together and on the same day, at the same time can be a daunting task, needless to say.
Well, fear no more, because I have your back (or front so to speak!).
The Prep
The process unfolds like this…we agree on a date that works for you. Afternoons are best simply because of the lighting options available.
We will discuss the shoot beforehand to determine what you will be using the photo for, as well as your typical style.
You will receive suggested wardrobe, and jewelry options, as well as additional tips and tricks to ensure your session goes well.
If the session will be at your home, office, or locale of your choice, we will discuss how you should prepare it so that the shoot is the best it can be.
The Day Of...
On the appointed day, your shoot begins with a 90 minute airbrush makeup application and light hair styling either at your locale or at my studio in Cow Hollow (check out my entire portfolio of head shots here and great examples of "before professional head shot" and "after's" here.)
We then start shooting for about 30 minutes for the standard offering. For the "supersize" option, there are essentially two shoots as you will change clothes in between, so it's about an hour of photography.
I assist with makeup and hair touchups along the way.
The Results!
The result is a powerful image or group of images for you to choose from! With the standard option, I will have your digital image to you within 24 hours of our shoot, edited, cropped and ready for upload to your social media platforms of choice. This package includes one digital photo file for your use. Additional images are available, as well, at an additional charge.
The supersize option calls for you to meet with the photographer at an agreed upon time (can be done on the phone at your computer), shortly after your shoot to review your images. Then your amazing, gorgeous professional headshots are delivered, cropped and re-touched per your instructions. This package includes two digital photo files for your use. Additional images are available as well at an additional charge.
I know you will find our offering competitive with others out there, and convenient as well, since organizing all the pieces to get to the final result of a great photo to use in social media, brochures, websites, and the like can be extremely trying!
