Simple Lip Hack Inspired by the Oscars

Oscars 2019 was super inspiring for anyone who loves makeup…the big trend in lips was back to shiny gloss, after a year or two of the matte look being the fave. 

Even Charlize’s bright lip was glossy.

Emma’s too!

Here is a great tip and trick to create a shiny lip without having to zip out and buy a new gloss. Use your lip serum on top of your favorite lip stick to create a new, glossy look. 

Here I’ve actually powdered down my lip with a nude colored mineral powder, and they outlined the lip with a lip pencil. The gloss is a lip serum that’s good for the lips and super hydrating (it’s even refreshing and cooling, with a bit of a mint fragrance). This one happens come pre-measured for use at night, but in this instance you can use a little (like Charlize) or more (like Emma) to create the amount of sheen you want. Apply with a lip-brush for a precise look. And take a concealer brush with a little bit of powder on it, and just swoosh it along the lip line just outside the liner, to prevent any gloss from seeping into any lip wrinkles.
