A New Way to Tight Line the Eyes

Tight-lining is the practice of lining the inner water line, both upper and lower, to make the eyes pop.

Usually I recommend a black mineral eye pencil. But lately, some of my clients, and moi aussi, have been experiencing a bit of leakage, smearing from the eye pencil into our (God forbid!!) crow’s feet and puffy under-eye pouches.
Does this mean you cannot tight-line? No! Of course not. Never fear, I have an alternative.

I’ve been using matte mineral powder to tight line my eyes with great success! I get the same “eye pop” without the smearing or traveling of the product onto the skin around my eyes.

Here is an eye tutorial using the Dark Earth palette from La Bella Donna. The minerals react well with the wetness of your own eye, or you can wet the brush you are using with water to make the minerals go on in a different way.

It’s important to use the right brush. I recommend this eyeliner brush.
